**Rough Cut Brewing is 6 minutes west of the park. Great spot for food and beverages after hikies.

The Hike:
Get on line at park entrance before 9am. We will start hiking at 9:15 with whoever is there. This hike will be at a moderate pace with stops at Rainbow Falls, the Battlement cliffs and Castle Point (lunch spot). Of the 8 miles, 2.6 miles are on easy carriage roads.

The Route:
- From the Lower Awosting parking lot (700' from the entrance booth), go past the gate to enter the Lower Awosting carriage road. Go ~150'.
- Turn left to enter the Mossy Glen Trail.
- Continue 1+ miles to Blueberry Run Trail.
- Turn right onto BR Trail and cross footbridge.
- Turn left left at the LA carriage road. Continue about 7/10th mile.
- Turn left onto Rainbow Falls footpath and continue about 2 miles to the second carriage road.
- Turn left onto carriage road and continue to the Castle Point viewpoint.
- After a lunch break, backtrack 100' and enter the Blueberry Run trail.
- Stay on BR Trail about 2 miles to the second carriage road (Lower Awosting).
- Turn right and take the LA carriage road back to the parking lot

Distance: approx. 8 miles (2.6 of the miles are easy carriage roads)
Elevation gain: Approx. 1,500 feet
Pace: Moderate 2.3-2.4mph average pace
Difficulty: some rocky trails;
Gear: Appropriate footwear; clothing for changing temperatures; poles may be helpful for some people; water; snacks/lunch
