Harriman - Dunderberg, Bald, Timp & West Mtns - 13+ miles - R-D & T-T trails

**Not a beginner hike! There's NO sweep. Those who choose to hike faster or slower need to be able to navigate on their own.

The Hike: Moderate 2.2 - 2.3 mph average pace. Great viewpoints will be found on this loop! We'll start hiking at 7:45AM from the Timp-Torn parking area on Rt. 9W/202 (about 4 miles south of the Bear Mtn. Bridge).

The route:
- Take the red R-D Trail 7+ miles to the orange trail.
- Turn right onto orange. Go .7 mile to blue T-T trail.
- Turn right onto blue T-T trail and take back to 9W.

Distance: Approx 13.3 miles
Difficulty: Some steep hills; Several rocky sections (not very difficult)
Elevation Gain: approx. 3,500 feet
Duration: approx. ~6.5 hours including a couple short breaks
Gear: Water, snacks/lunch, good footwear, clothing for changing temps. Poles may be helpful.
Map: NY-NJ Trail Conf. map #119 and/or other map or mapping system like the Avenza app.; headlamp or other light.
