The Hike:
We'll start hiking from Prediger Road parking area at 8:30am. To do this hike, you should have hiked similar steep trails with similar elevation gain. Moderate but steady 2.2 - 2.3 mph average pace. No sweep.

Here's the route:
- From Prediger parking area, take red trail.
- Continue on red (Devil's Path) up and over Indian Head.
- Continue on red past the Notch and ascend both peaks of Twin
- Double back on red to the Notch. Turn left onto blue and descend.
- At red trail, turn left and return to parking lot.

Distance: Approx. 8.5 miles
Difficulty: rocky trails; several steep uphills; ledges to climb
Elevation gain: Apprx. 2,800 feet
Map: NY-NJ Trail Conf. Map #141 on paper or on the Avenza app
Gear:; moisture-wicking clothing; headlamp; water; snacks
