Catskill 3500 Balsam Cap and Friday - Peak Fall Colors

This is a bushwack hike. no trail or sweep. Hikers are expected to hike with the group (~2.5 miles/hour pace)

Distance: Approx 8miles
Elevation 2,400 feet
Duration: Approx 5 hrs (includes breaks)

Gear: clothing for changing temps; water; snacks/lunch, appropriate footwear

We are start early because the Catskills were very crowded last week and we want to beat the crowds. This is a bushwack so it may not be as populous as other more famous hiking venues. Please arrive early.

NOTE: You are responsible for bringing appropriate gear, supplies, clothing, first aid, etc. You should review topographic maps and trail features carefully; understanding topography of any hike is key to your knowing where you are, where you're going, and how to get back.
