AWS X-Ray helps analyze distributed applications with request tracing so that root cause of issues and performance bottlenecks can be determined. In this presentation, we will look at how instrumenting a machine learning application helped identify the code responsible for high latency. We will also talk about best practices when instrumenting using AWS SDK and demonstrate how to use X-Ray for tracing requests in a distributed system and build a notification mechanism using X-Ray groups, CloudWatch Alarms and SNS to alert the users about critical events.
