Learning about history from people who lived it

History is often taught through books, documentaries, and even the news, but some of its most powerful lessons come from the people who lived it.

Join us for an evening of storytelling, reflection, and conversation as Bosnian survivor Safet Vukalić shares his personal experiences and the importance of preserving history through lived experience.

This event is about more than looking back. It's about understanding how the stories of ordinary people can help us make sense of the past, encourage meaningful discussion, and remind us why remembering history matters today.

Whether you have an interest in history, culture, human rights, or simply enjoy hearing remarkable personal stories, you're more than welcome to come and support this event.

The afternoon will include:

  • A first-hand personal testimony from Safet Vukalić
  • Time for audience questions and discussion
  • An opportunity to support a Bosnian cafe and engage with Bosnian art

We look forward to welcoming you for an engaging and thought-provoking evening.
