(WiMLDS) Women in Machine Learning & Data Science, Hyderabad chapter will be conducting its next virtual meet-up on 20th February,2021 and we are delighted to have Dr. Jacqueline Nolis ,the Head of Data Science at Saturn Cloud and co-author of the book "Build a Career in Data Science” as our speaker .

Dr. Jacqueline Nolis has over a decade of experience using data to help companies including Union Bank, Microsoft, DSW, and Airbnb. Jacqueline’s interests lie in the human side of data science and how organisations interpret data and make decisions. For fun she likes to use machine learning for humour, including training neural networks on pet names, and creating a website to mashup Twitter accounts.

Everyone loves talking about successes, but Data Science projects fail at times. Datasets don’t end up having signals, the work takes far longer than expected, and products end up missing the mark. In this session, Dr. Jacqueline Nolis will share the key themes that show up in projects that fail and how data scientists can spot them coming. To highlight these themes she’ll use examples from the many failed data science projects that she was personally responsible for and help us to gain some insights from it.
