Solar Eclipse Walk
Details
Join us for the one of nature's most amazing spectacles.
On the 12th of August there will be a partial eclipse, with an obscuration of over 90% in Leeds. This is probably one of the best UK solar eclipses happening this decade.
Starting at Woodlesford Locks, we will walk approximately 2 miles to the hills behind Skelton Services. From there we should have an amazing view to the West and the eclipse itself which peaks at 19:09.
Drinks at a local bar afterwards for those that want to.
Don't forget to bring something to view the eclipse safely:

When observing the Sun, safety is key. You should NEVER observe the Sun with the naked eye or with homemade equipment.
Weather dependent, obviously!
Be aware there is a short but steep walk to the top of the hill where we will be observing
Looking forward to seeing you there!
