LFDT Community Update, Trust Over IP and Analyzable Authorization

Details

We're excited to announce the reboot of the Seattle Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust (LFDT) Meetup group!

Join us for an hour of insightful conversations, networking, and community building around decentralized technologies.

This kickoff event will feature updates on recent project developments from LFDT communities and a broader look at key trends driving the industry. Our speaker lineup is being finalized and will be announced within the next week.

Whether you're a longtime contributor, maintainer, a builder in Web3, or simply curious about the latest developments, this is a great opportunity to reconnect!

The lineup:

  • Fireside Chat with Steve Albonico (Technical Architect, Blockchain, Data & AI at Accenture), Jessica Gonzalez (Hiero Technical Community Architect at The Linux Foundation), and Deepika Karanji (Senior Technical Product Manager Intern, AWS
  • ) — exploring where is the LFDT today, including a portion on Steve's personal journey from working with blockchain and decentralized identity to his current role, and how he combines both technologies.
  • Guest Talk by Emina Torlak (Sr Principal Applied Scientist, AWS Automated Reasoning and Identity) — presenting Expressive, Fast, Safe, and Analyzable Authorization with Cedar Policy Language
  • Guest Talk by Drummond Reed (Co-Organizer, The First Person Project) — presenting September's launch of the new Decentralized Trust Graph Working Group at Trust over IP and its importance.

We’ll wrap up with a short open Q&A session where attendees can engage directly with our speakers.

We hope you are able to join us!
