Hypnosis? :

Did you know that you’ve already been in hypnosis today? Most people don’t realize that hypnosis is just a natural pattern our brain falls into when we are in a state of relaxed focus - like when we are learning. Because hypnosis is natural to us, we can’t do anything we don’t want to do when we are in it. What hypnosis does do is make it easier to try new things. If those new things are helpful, they tend to stick. People use hypnosis to change their habits because we are all already experts at it. Working with a hypnotist creates structure so you can best access your own hypnosis ability.

I am an IACT and NGH certified hypnosis practitioner that has been working in the field for over ten years. I received my MFA from The University of Chicago, where my research examined the role of hypnosis in art making, creative practice and healing. At The University of Chicago, I was awarded the Arts + Sciences Graduate Fellowship, through which I was able to work with researchers across the university examining hypnotic phenomena in faith practice. I have had the pleasure of sharing my work on hypnosis and creative practice at conferences around the world. I am a former visiting professor at Jain University (Bangalore, India), where I taught classes on communication theory. Today, I also work with Brown University Health hospitals, where I teach doctors and nurses how to improve patient outcomes, and their own work, with hypnosis. I am a former national fencing champion (saber), and love working with athletes on confidence and performance.
