Anxiety does not have to rule your life and your decisions.

It is possible to break free from the cycle of fight/flight/freeze.

A recent meta-analysis of clinical studies showed that hypnosis for anxiety gave participants more symptom relief than traditional CBT therapy, and the effects lasted longer.

In our session, you will have the opportunity to feel why hypnosis is such an effective method for helping folks find relief from anxiety symptoms.

Our Evening :

In this online session, we will learn why and how hypnosis works to create meaningful change in people. We will then learn easy methods to build a self-hypnosis practice.

After learning a few practical tools, we will have a group hypnosis exercise so you can become more familiar with the feeling of hypnosis. Knowing that sensation will help make your self-hypnosis practice even stronger.

Last, we will end with an opportunity to ask any questions that came up during our time.

Our goal is for you to leave excited to wake up tomorrow to try your new skills.

Hypnosis? :

Did you know that you’ve already been in hypnosis today? Most people don’t realize that hypnosis is just a natural pattern our brain falls into when we are in a state of relaxed focus - like when we are learning. Because hypnosis is natural to us, we can’t do anything we don’t want to do when we are in it. What hypnosis does do is make it easier to try new things. If those new things are helpful, they tend to stick. People use hypnosis to change their habits because we are all already experts at it. Working with a hypnotist creates structure so you can best access your own hypnosis ability.

Jacob Pet, Ch

I am an IACT and NGH certified hypnosis practitioner that has been working in the field for over ten years. I received my MFA from The University of Chicago, where my research examined the role of hypnosis in art making, creative practice and healing. At The University of Chicago, I was awarded the Arts + Sciences Graduate Fellowship, through which I was able to work with researchers across the university examining hypnotic phenomena in faith practice. I have had the pleasure of sharing my work on hypnosis and creative practice at conferences around the world. I am a former visiting professor at Jain University (Bangalore, India), where I taught classes on communication theory. Today, I also work with Brown University Health hospitals, where I teach doctors and nurses how to improve patient outcomes, and their own work, with hypnosis. I am a former national fencing champion (saber), and love working with athletes on confidence and performance.
