In this group, a KEEPER is a single person dating with healthy values who intentionally seeks a loving, committed relationship by honoring themselves and others with honesty, integrity, emotional maturity, healthy boundaries, patience, and respect. They prioritize character over chemistry, compatibility over convenience, and long-term partnership over short-term gratification.
Over my 40 years of working with singles I discovered something that was important but mostly unspoken. This caused a misconception about men and why they are always asking a new female dating partner to have sex with them. There are those who just want sex, but high-quality men are asking for a different reason.
MY DISCOVERY
While interviewing men of all ages, I heard this same thing repeatedly. Men would tell me there are two types of women. One type is an EASY woman and the other is the KEEPER. This is why they always ask the woman to have sex early, to see if she is EASY, or if she says no, she could possibly be their KEEPER. (Some men will have sex with the EASY women while waiting to find their KEEPER... the one they want to commit to a long-term relationship with.)
For decades quality men have been telling me the KEEPER is the woman that is special and not like all the rest. She is more valuable and more desirable. Other men want her as well, because she is NOT having sex with every man she dates. She is a woman of higher standards and he is willing to wait for sex and to work to win her heart.
