Pre-Halloween Camp-Out! ($35)

Calling all friendly Ghosts and Goblins!

Join us for a spook-tacular weekend near Lake Isabella (in the Sequoia National Forrest). Spend Saturday afternoon exploring the area and visiting the Remington Hot Springs, and then throw on your favorite costume, pjs, or onesie for a Hallow-themed campfire party!

(First time campers welcome!)

P.S. If the event is full and you are interested in joining, join the waitlist and then private message me to let me know that you are definitely interested in joining. If we end up with 40 people interested, I can upgrade to a larger site.

All attendees will receive a link to a Google questionnaire the WEEK BEFORE the event. This will help us organize a carpool list, a tent-share list (for anyone who does not have a tent but would like to join), and breakfast for Saturday and Sunday.

The WEEK OF the event, all attendees will receive a "Welcome Pack" with information about the area, directions to the campgrounds, and a weather forecast to help you prepare for your trip.

DETAILS:

*We've reserved a 28-person site near Lake Isabella. (This is approx 2.5-3hrs away from LA depending on traffic.)
*To reserve your spot, send $35 via Venmo or PayPal to Tania. (Details below).
*Porta-potties available on site
*No running water on site; we'll have a hand washing station set up and will bring water for everyone. But to err on the side of caution plan on bringing at least a liter on water.
*You are responsible for bringing food for lunch and dinner, and any snacks you may want. Breakfast will be provided.
*There is a limit on how many cars we can have at the site so a carpool list will be organized the week before.
*Remington Hot Springs are approximately a 30min drive and a 15minute hike away. This is an optional excursion and you are welcome to stay at the campsite or go for a hike elsewhere instead. If you do plan to join, however, bring a bathing suit and towel.

WHAT'S INCLUDED:

*All firewood will be provided.
*Breakfast for Saturday and Sunday will be provided and will include eggs, sausage and hash browns and a a selection of oatmeal, granola bars, coffee, tea, orange juice, bagel, and cream cheese.
*Marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers will also be provided for your s’mores making delight.
*Plates, cups for cold drinks, cutlery.
*Camping stoves, all necessary fuel, and a few pots and pans for your cooking needs.
*A pop up shade structure.

WHAT YOU'LL DEFINITELY NEED TO BRING:

*A cold-rated sleeping bag. It's gonna be chilly up there!
*Warm clothes for nighttime (beanies, gloves, fleece jacket, wooly socks, etc).
*Whatever you want to eat for lunch, dinner, snacks. (A meal share list will be provided in the Welcome Pack if you’d like to organize meals with other campers).
*Enough water for one day.
*A mug (for coffee or tea).

HOW TO RSVP:

*Send $35 via Venmo to @Tania-Andrade-1 (If you do not use Venmo, send Tania a private message via MeetUp and we can work something out via PayPal or Chase QuickPay.) Include your name as it appears on Meet Up in your payment description, as well as the words "Halloween Camp-Out". You must also send payment for any guests you plan on bringing.
*PM me via Meet Up with your email address so that you can receive the questionnaire and the Welcome Pack.
*RSVP "Yes" on this Meet Up event page.

NOTES:

*Your RSVP is not confirmed until we have received your payment. (Since space is limited, if we do not receive payment within 48hrs of your RSVP on Meet Up, we reserve the right to move you to the "not attending list" to make room for others.)
*No refunds will be offered after October 20th.
