Get ready to go back to the future on Saturday, June 27, 2026! As part of the Hawaii Theatre Center’s ultimate 80’s Weekend series, we are gathering to witness a night of iconic synth-pop and new wave hits at the historic Hawaii Theatre.

Whether you're a lifelong "InSoc" fan or a Depeche Mode devotee, this is the perfect chance to meet up with fellow 80s enthusiasts in one of Honolulu’s most beautiful venues.

Information Society
Hailing from Minneapolis, this electronic pioneer group is best known for their 1988 breakout smash "What's on Your Mind (Pure Energy)". Blending synth-pop, freestyle, and industrial influences, their sound defined an era of club music with monster electro beats and lush vocal hooks. The current lineup features original founding members Kurt Harland Larson, Paul Robb, and James Cassidy.

Strangelove-The Depeche Mode Experience
More than just a tribute, Strangelove delivers a "staggeringly authentic" concert experience that spans Depeche Mode’s 40+ year career. From Speak & Spell favorites to later arena anthems, they recreate the music, costumes, and projection visuals with such precision that even Depeche Mode's own Martin Gore called it "scary" in its detail.

About 80’s Weekend at Hawaii Theatre

This concert is the centerpiece of a high-energy nostalgia series at the theater.

Friday, June 26: The weekend kicks off with The Romantics ("What I Like About You") and an opening set by Strangelove.

Saturday, June 27: The finale featuring Information Society and Strangelove.
