Austin Staples: North Loop Thrift Shop Crawl!

This is stop 2 of the Austin Staples series where we visit things that make Austin what it is. These events will be focused on visiting places that have been established for a long time and help keep Austin weird.

North Loop is a gem of a neighborhood, and thrifting is a must! We’ll meet at Top Drawer Thrift and spend about 45 minutes-1 hour at each thrift stop, visiting 3 in total. Other notable things on our route include Home Slice Pizza, Epoch Coffee, and Breakaway Records (the coolest store in Austin IMO). Feel free to stop at any of these and catch up with us later if you’d like. Afterward, we’ll get some food/drinks at Workhorse Bar. Itinerary will be posted 1-2 days before if in case you want to meet up with us later.

Regarding the parking situation, Top Drawer has a small lot, but there’s lots of neighborhood parking if the lot is full.

Regarding the walking situation, the entire route is about 1-1.5 miles there and back, so be sure to wear comfortable walking shoes, wear sun protection, etc.
