Although this will not be organized as a family-style dinner, people are welcome to order different dishes and share them. I'm familiar with many of the items on their menu and will be glad to offer suggestions.

Pepiรกn a la Abuela

This version of the national dish is made with free-range chicken stewed in a complex sauce featuring aromatic ground toasted sesame and pumpkin seeds.

Shucos Mixto

A huge sandwich of your choice of hot dogs, longaniza (a type of sausage), or carne asada, over guacamole, cabbage, mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard, on toasted soft bread.

Dobladas

Corn tortillas folded around chicken, mashed potatoes, and cheese, then fried until golden-brown. Served with pickled vegetables and red salsa.

Tostadas

A traditional trio: one topped with guacamole, one with mashed beans, and one with salsa, cheese, and parsley.
(Each may be ordered separately as well.)

"Enchilada" Chapina

A single tostada topped with spicy slaw, beets, ground beef, onion, and cheese.

Torrejas

Guatemalan bread soaked in warm syrup made from panela/piloncillo (raw cane sugar).
