Everyone is welcome, whether you're a seasoned IA, new to the field, or just want to learn more. ** Discussion Topics ** We're continuing our experiment with a more discussion-oriented format. One of the main reasons for the new format is so we can learn from one another, so think of topics you would like to discuss. When you RSVP, you'll be asked to suggest a discussion topic. Topics submitted prior to the event *and* accompanied by supporting files will get preferential consideration. This can be a project you're working on, or just a topic of interest. Send us screen shots, a list of questions related to a particular topic, whatever you think will be useful to the group. Upload files and post a description at
http://ia.meetup.com/.... ** Location ** We've also got a great new location, thanks to Elizabeth Law, a recruiter at Bachrach Group. It's a quiet area in a private office. Try to arrive by 7pm for painless entry to the building, but we'll post a number on the door for anyone who's late. Because of space limitations, we'll need to cap attendance, so RSVP early. ** Donations ** As some of you may know, Meetup.com charges a fee to group organizers, which Anders has been generously paying out of his own pocket. We're looking into corporate sponsorship, but until that happens we'd like to ask for a small donation of $1 from each attendee, via a basket at the event. That's all, hope to see you there!

Wish I could have stayed later - great minds in the room and topics. Anders is a good facilitator.

the first meeting is good for me cuz the topics are easy to follow and did trigger some of my thoughts for further research...

I will definitely be there for the next meeting. Questions:
This meet-up is a very organized event, and has been operated for quite a long time...
1. Are the previous attendees constantly shown up?
2. As I missed the introduction session, would it possible to let me know the backgrounds of the group? for example: how much % working on IA? How much on development? how much no working experienc? How much Business Analysis? Thanks

There were a variety of questions discussed. Lots of good information was shared on the subject matter as well as real life experience with IA.
