Fall Twin Cities IDPro IAM Meetup

Details
Join us Tuesday November 7th for our fall meetup of 2023. Come celebrate and enjoy networking with your twin cities peers, and of course enjoy some snacks. Be ready for some interesting discussions with our first time sponsor Curity.
Agenda
Curity: Say Goodbye to Browsers and Passwords
Overview: Logging in to apps from different devices can often be inconsistent and cumbersome for users. It’s time to ditch the browser and give users a better authentication experience that is seamless and smooth.
Jonas Iggbom will show how it is possible to create a browserless experience using OAuth flows with a hypermedia authentication API. Participants will learn how utilizing a hypermedia API can:
- Facilitate seamless user experiences on any device
- Attest clients for increased security
- Enable true native mobile authentication
- Give your developers the power to customize users’ login journeys
Presenter: Jonas Iggbom
Director of Sales Engineering at Curity, has over 20 years of experience in product management and technical sales in access control and endpoint security. His expertise lies in identity and access management, and access control solutions for privileged users, databases, and applications. In his free time, he likes to bike, hike, ski, and travel.
Microsoft: The Evolution of the SCIM Standard
Overview: The System for Cross-domain Identity Management(SCIM) standard has reached critical mass in the identity industry in the last 5 years. Despite that, there are problems or feature gaps with the current version of the standard (SCIM 2.0) that prevent some use cases from being tackled with SCIM. Some of those are actively being worked on inside of the IETF’s SCIM working group, like adding cursor-based pagination and delta query functionality. There are some that haven’t really been solved yet, like securely syncing profile pictures. Danny Zollner will talk about what will become possible in the realm of IAM automation as the SCIM standard evolves and adds new capabilities.
Presenter: Danny Zollner is a Senior Product Manager at Microsoft where he has worked with Entra (formerly Azure AD)’s various provisioning and synchronization products for six years. His focus nowadays is on experiences that utilize modern open standards like OAuth, OpenID Connect and SCIM to power interoperability for authentication, authorization and automation within the realm of identity. Danny is most known for his work on improving the SCIM standard and his expertise on cross-domain identity provisioning.
