The main purpose is to meet up regularly and enjoy a guided walk.

You should join if you are likely to enjoy city walks and hearing about the area we are in.

I am a qualified tour guide with several years experience. I lead history, local and architectural walks around themes such as monasteries, social history, churches and great events in history.

This walk is hosted by our new guide Ian.

Explore the highlights as we walk from the city walls through Islington to end at Highbury and Islington station.

I will explain how the many advantages Islington had geographically, socially and historically led to the development of population growth, new housing and rapid expansionansion in religious movements that all contributed to the development of the suburb of Islington.

Cost £10 cash or card.
