This event is game-specific. We play a game of DUNE: War for Arrakis or classic DUNE ONLY.
Limit: 6 participants
Participants are required to arrive at 14:00 or earlier, and stay until 18:00 or later.
Participants are NOT required to know the rules of the game. The game owner will teach the rules.

[Event Concept]
Only two participants signed up on time, so we will play a specific game participants agreed.
In this event, we will play Dune: War for Arrakis or classic DUNE depending on final number of participants.

[What is Dune: War for Arrakis?]
Dune: War for Arrakis is a war game based on the classic novel/movie "Dune" by Frank Harbert.
Originally published in 2024.
Players take roles of two confronting factions (Atreides and Harkonnen) and fight each other over the supremacy of the planet Arrakis.
Players accumulate victory points by destroying opponent bases through battles and/or accomplishing story-based missions.
Number of players: 2 to 4 players

[What is classic DUNE?]
DUNE is a strategy/negotiation game based on the classic novel/movie "Dune" by Frank Harbert.
Originally published in 1979.
Each player takes one of six factions and try to conquer the supremacy of the planet Arrakis by occupying a number of stronghold as (typically) two-faction alliance.
Number of players: 3 to 6 players (5 or 6 recommended)

If you are willing to come to this event, please click/tap "going" as soon as possible, even if you are not sure you can come. We might cancel this event if there aren't enough (three) attendees ten days prior to this event. When you found you won't be able to come, click/tap "not going" at that time.

Starting from 13:00, we will play short games until 14:00. Then we play long games. If you want to play long games, please be sure to come by 14:00, otherwise you might wait for long time until an ongoing game ends.

You can bring your soft drinks and foods. To prevent damage on game components, only drinks in capped bottle and separately-wrapped snacks are allowed during a game. Others are allowed only between games. Please be sure to bring your garbage back with you.

Please bring your games you want to play if you have, and please help this event by teaching your games to new players.

Directions from JR Sendai Station:
Leave the station through east exit on second floor. Walk toward Yodobashi Camera(ヨドバシカメラ) which stands at your rightside ahead. Take an escalator down to the ground. Cross the road ahead and walk straight along the wide road (Miyagono-Dori Street) for three minutes. You will see the sign which reads 「仙台市生涯学習支援センター」on the right (See the top image of this page. Note that this sign reads vertically from the top floor).
