## Group Structure
We will divide into two groups:
### Level 1 (Beginner)
Physical Ability (Fair):
- Comfortable hiking on mountain trails with light pack
- May find 1–2 miles with a 35 lb pack challenging
- Will likely need regular breaks
Experience (Novice):
- Little to no backpacking experience
- Learning basic skills (packing, tent setup, etc.)
- Base weight typically over 20 lbs
- May feel uncomfortable in adverse weather or hiking in the dark
👉 Route: Rapid Lake (~3.8 miles each way, ~1,500 ft gain)
👉 Leader: John
***
### Level 2 (Advanced Beginner)
Physical Ability (Good):
- Exercises ~2 hours per week
- Can hike up to 8 miles with a light day pack
- Can handle ~5 miles with a 35 lb pack
Experience:
- Some backpacking experience
- Increasing comfort with gear and outdoor conditions
👉 Route: Summit Lake + return to Rapid Lake (~6.4 miles total, ~1,500 ft gain)
👉 Leader: Scottie
Note: While these fall near Level 1–2, we will maintain a slow pace with regular breaks to support all მონაწილants.
