Homestead

Details
This ride is on the east side of Boise and will go on some lesser used trails. The climbs are steep and the descents a bit rowdy.
We'll ride along some neighborhood trails, then up Homestead and down Cobb. Cobb took some abuse during last year's fire but has been largely rebuilt. An additional adventure loop can be added by riding up the Hidden Valley road and down the along the adjacent ridge. The extra loop is a grunt, but has a fun adventure feel and a great view of the river and city.
The Homestead/Cobb loop is 8 miles with 1500 feet of vertical. The adventure loop adds another 4 miles and 1000 feet of climbing. The climbs are steep but those on the Homestead climb are generally short with easier sections after.
👉👉The adventure loop does require going behind an archery target. If the archery range is too busy we could get turned around. 🎯🎯🎯
It's looking hot, so lets meet earlier: 9 am at the Hidden Valley Trail parking lot. The parking lot is at the end of East Highland Valley Road - just after the road turns to dirt.
