Adventure rides are my absolute favorite. Connecting different trails, getting from A to B, and just doing something different. This is one of those rides. It's got good trails, great views, fun descents, challenging obstacles, tough climbs, but also pavement and gravel. It's a mini-adventure ride.

We'll start at the Military Reserve, cruise down through the East End to the greenbelt and over to the golf course. From there we'll head up some of the Rock Island trails to Table Rock Quarry trail - which wraps around table rock mountain and ends up on the backside by the quarry (it's not the main hiking trail nor the "tram" trail).

Then we'll head down the back side through a neighborhood to Rocky Canyon (Shaw Mountain) road - yes, a paved descent 🤷 We'll take the 3 Bears trailhead and loop back to where we started.

The total ride is 18.5 miles with 2400 feet of vertical. About the same as the previous weekend ride. There are some steep grunty climbs on Rock Island and 3 Bears. The pace will be moderate with stops at major trail junctions to catch our breath and chat.

Let's meet 10 am on Sunday at the Military Reserve - by the shade structure by the bathrooms and above the bike park.
