What we’re about
The Palouse Group of the Sierra Club is a part of the Idaho Chapter, based in and around Moscow, ID & Pullman, WA.
The Sierra Club is America’s oldest, largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization. The Idaho Chapter of the Sierra Club works to build a movement of engaged residents to promote the conservation of Idaho’s natural environment and climate. Our volunteer-driven campaigns are helping move Idaho cities, utilities, and school districts toward 100% clean energy and advance regional efforts to remove the four lower Snake River dams to save Idaho's salmon and build a clean and equitable energy future in the Northwest.

Have you been hearing the buzz about something called "community solar," which can help lower power bills for those most in need? Are you worried about climate change and clean energy progress and want to learn about how we can take back our power to create a more sustainable and democratic future?
Stop by One World Cafe on Sun Day for a casual community gathering to learn more from Idaho Sierra Club about what community solar is, how it could benefit Moscow, and how we can work together to make it happen!
Extreme heat and wildfire smoke are getting worse and power bills are going up every year. Low-income communities are impacted more than others in Idaho. Rooftop solar power is a great way to address climate change, but it's usually only affordable for wealthy homeowners.
"Community solar" is a type of local solar power that can benefit EVERYONE by:- lowering power bills
- building community wealth
- reducing pollution
- creating good jobs
- making neighborhoods more resilient
We'll hear ideas about the City of Moscow's plans for constructing a community solar project and start talking about how we can work together to make sure it becomes a reality. We need everyone's support, so come learn more and help create positive change in your community!
