Join the Palouse Group of the Sierra Club for a community webinar about local wind power!

We will start off the webinar with Sierra Club staff and a lead volunteer reviewing a proposed wind ordinance that will soon go before the Whitman County Board of Commissioners. The overly restrictive ordinance would take decisions about wind development out of county hands and defer them to state regulators, which would limit local control over which projects get permitted. It would also add unnecessary costs and lengthy delays to projects that do get approved.

• We're urging everyone to send a comment to the Commission asking them to reject this new wind ordinance.
• The Commission is set to vote on the ordinance on March 2nd in Colfax - we will give you the details so you can attend and testify!

We will then listen to a few speakers from the Harvest Hills Wind Project talk about their proposed project, and allow time for community questions.
