The mission of the Idaho Chapter Sierra Club is simple: to explore, enjoy, and protect the planet. Our outings and events are free and open to members and non-members alike.

The Idaho Sierra Club is a member-supported non-profit organization working to promote the conservation of Idaho's natural environment and climate by influencing public policy decisions through grassroots involvement.

The Sierra Club's members and supporters are more than 3.5 million of your friends and neighbors across the country. We are America's oldest, largest and most influential grassroots conservation organization.

Join us for a Blackout Poetry Night, led by Idaho Chapter Board member Emily Iskin!

We will meet at the Sierra Club office to make Blackout Poetry and gather with fellow environmentalists. Folks will also have time to hang out in the office to socialize and discuss the work that the Idaho Chapter of the Sierra Club does!

This is the a meetup in a series hosted by Boise-area volunteer leaders, with the intention of gathering local supporters, members, and volunteers to build community, learn new skills together, and learn how to get more involved in Idaho Sierra Club's environmental and social justice work.

Join the Idaho Sierra Club for a free outdoor yoga class led by Jackie Sorensen! We'll meet up at Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park at 9am to share coffee, tea, and some light pastries together. Then, we will engage in an hour-long beginner-friendly yoga class, involving breathwork, meditation, body movement, and connecting to yourself and the planet.

What to expect:

9:00 a.m. | Meet at Kristin Armstrong Municipal Park for coffee, tea, pastries, sign-in, and group intros
9:30 a.m. | Yoga class begins
10:30 a.m. | Yoga class ends. Opportunity for more community building, coffee, tea, and pastries.
11:00 a.m. | Event concludes

Strongly suggested: Towel or yoga mat (you can do yoga directly on the grass, but if you are allergic or your skin reacts to grass, we highly recommend a towel or mat)
