Diagramming for Creativity and Innovation

There is a local group which discusses innovation and also does deep dives into topics. They have run across the following post, and will be discussing it on Wed Nov 16th at noon CST.

The article describes meaning-making or sense-making of situations where people collectively tell stories to understand. The author compares several models or frameworks that explore social situations: Cynefin ("ken-EH-vin" Welsh for habitat), a Social Science model, Medicine Wheel (from North American First Nations), and the author's framework, Confluence.

Its a lengthy read...skim the description of the different models and each model's diagram to get a broad overview. Then, focus on the section titled "Ancient Confluence, Ancient Sensemaking". It describes the Medicine Wheel and how it overlaps with modern social science.

We will explore diagramming to aid creative thinking and innovation.
