A group discussion with invited speakers on the history of the ideas in their field.
There were many ideas that shaped our history: the invention of language, writing, agriculture, mathematics and now AI. All these events got people out of the jungle and into the comfortable cities and homes we live in now.
As we face challenges now with global warming and powerful economical swings, it's important to look back at how humanity overcame various obstacles so we can apply that knowledge to solve the new ones.
We meet usually once a month to discuss some of the current challenges as well and perhaps come up with new ideas on how to overcome them. The format of the meeting includes an initial sharing of viewpoints by each participant without judgment, and in the second half we will discuss our ideas and try to find things to learn from each other. In an age where people have become quick to judge and we've started to hide our thoughts and feelings, our group aims to bring everyone into a healthy dialogue and reclaim our lost communities.
