Even Identity professionals need to stick together, and IdentiBeer offers meeting places around the world under inclusive and vendor-neutral ethics.
Does it have to be BEER? Well, no - it's just low hanging fruit to suggest having a beer after work, but we do have many members who never drink alcohol for various reasons, or just don't like beer. So if you're in the industry of IAM, you're welcome!
Does it have to be IDENTITY? Right, let's talk about that: Do you work with something DIGITAL? Then there is very little chance that ACCESS isn't a part of it - and if it's secured in any way, IDENTITY is also part of it.So let's put it this way -
If you work with digital services generally or in IT, just come to an event and use this as a conversation starter: "I work with X, how does Identity and Access concern me?"
You're very likely to learn something you can take with you and use for work, or you might discover a love of Identity and Access that many of us share :)And note this, too: When working with IAM, the determining factor isn't what product (Microsoft, Sailpoint, AWS, etc) you're using or considering, but rather the people, purposes and processes involved. Historic facts, if you read this far: IdentiBeer started in February 2019 in Oslo, and the idea of vendor neutral IAM meetups has been contagious, so now you can find an IdentiBeer in 12 countries and still growing!
