Idiolect has been my favourite word ever since I discovered it while doing my master’s in Linguistics. In simple terms, it’s a dialect of an individual. Each one of us speaks in a unique way because we’ve all had different experiences. Even twins develop their own ways of expressing themselves! We all have our own linguistic fingerprint -- isn’t that magical?
I’ve decided to start this group to help people find their Spanish fingerprint -- through classes, board game nights, poetry nights, swearword courses, and other events.
Let’s go on a quest and find your Spanish treasure!

Most of the time I focus on Spanish from Spain, and sometimes I zoom in on how it’s spoken here in Valencia.
A bit about me: I’m Nina, totally obsessed with all things language. I love teaching (pretty much anything, really, even handstands 😄). At my last job, I managed a small language school and taught Spanish. I also had a group like this for my students, which was perfect for channeling my constant “Did you know…?” moments without annoying my friends 😂 When I left that job, I really missed having that space, so I started this group!

To join, you need to know present tense, imperative and pretérito perfecto.
In A2, you will two more past tenses: pretérito imperfecto and pretérito indefinido, as well as futuro simple. With this, you'll be able to live in past, present and future when speaking Spanish :D
Model: Hybrid (50% in person, 50% online)
Time: Tuesdays 6:00–8:00 pm, with a 10-min break
