Rainy day hike Sun 2/15 @ Umstead, Co Mill, MUT, Loblolly, 5-7mi, 9am

Lets take a short morning hike Sunday 2/15! Light rain is forecast so it's a good time to test your gear :-)

Meet at the Reedy Creek entrance of Umstead State Park off of Harrison Ave. Come prepared to hike BRISKLY (but not superfast) at a 3-3.25 mph pace.

We'll hike the Co Mill loop beyond and back to the MUT past the lake, then return on the Loblolly for a 5-7ish mi hike (1.5-2 hrs). NOTE: The 9am start at the Co Mill side of the parking lot.

If it's drizzling or we have a light rain at start time I will hike, pouring rain or thunderstorms, I will not.

If required for any reason, I'll cancel by 8:00am. (NOTE: This is cross-posted with another Meetup group.)

Take I-40 to exit 287, Harrison Ave, head north (left on Harrison if you are heading east on I-40, right on Harrison if you were heading west on I-40). Go straight into the parking lot.

We will meet at the top of the stairs in front of the restrooms.

No small children please, but well-behaved dogs are welcome - must be on a leash and the leash in your hand, per park rules. If I've forgotten anything, please email me.
