Get ready for one of the best and finest art experiences Pomona has to offer. A historic venue in the Spoken Word community, A Mic and Dim Lights (or AMDL for short) has created an open forum for artists of all kinds to express for 12 years! EVERY THURSDAY host, poet and MC Besskeepp and DJ JB (the founders of AMDL) are present, as well as artist from across California and the nation.
AMDL generally starts between 9:45-10pm but we suggest arriving about 9:30pm. The cost is $5 and the entrance in the through the parking lot in the back of the large building AMDL is hosted in. (The building is an art gallery on the corner of Main and 2nd streets) Poets, Singers, Musicians, Rappers, and even Comedians grace the stage at AMDL so feel free to sign up on the list if you have something to share! The list is at the front table (also another reason to be there on time/early if you want to share. Some nights can be pretty full) Every night is an inspiration! You might be surprised at your urge to share your art ;)
