    Event Description:
    Most consultants start their businesses because they love doing the work. But too few consultants can maintain a successful consulting business. The major key to maintaining and growing a successful consulting business is content marketing. Content marketing allows the consultant to “brag” about past successes, all while helping ideal clients find you. In this mini-workshop, Johanna Rothman will share her content marketing strategy. You will decide what might work for you. At the end of our time together, you will have a short list of actions you can use to create your content marketing strategy.

    The workshop agenda:
    1. Your website: the basics, a contact page, and a blog. (I am not going to discuss your LinkedIn page.)
    2. Choose which expertise and consulting stance(s) to market.
    3. Writing: How to choose what to write, where to publish, and the frequency of your writing.
    4. Speaking: How to choose what to speak about, where to speak, and the frequency of your speaking. I will discuss podcasts guesting, but not podcast hosting.
    5. How your writing and speaking can generate referrals.
    6. Summary: Your content marketing strategy and a few tactics.
