## Gen IV Nuclear Power in Wyoming

TerraPower’s Natrium™ Reactor Project
The IEEE Front Range Section presents an update on advanced nuclear power in the Mountain West.
TerraPower is developing the Natrium™ sodium-cooled fast reactor, a next-generation, carbon-free energy system designed to deliver reliable, dispatchable power at lower cost. The project site is located near Kemmerer, Wyoming, with full plant operation targeted for 2030.
Currently under construction is a sodium test and fill facility, a critical first step toward commissioning the plant. This facility will validate a first-of-its-kind nuclear cooling system in the United States.
