This talk will provide an overview of several ongoing projects at SRI Robotics that highlight the many ways new inventions come to be. These projects include a soft exo-suit for human power augmentation, a hyper-efficient humanoid, and several novel mechanical drive trains.
Bio:
Alexander Kernbaum is a technology artist and Senior Robotics Researcher at SRI International who specializes in hyper-efficient novel drivetrains, soft robotics and Super Suits. He earned his PhD from the Biologically Inspired Robotics Lab of Case Western Reserve University.
