Cybersecurity isn’t just a technical issue—it’s a business problem. Business analysts are uniquely positioned to bridge the gap between business operations and security requirements. In this session, Victor breaks down how to spot hidden cybersecurity risks within everyday business processes using techniques you already know: process mapping, stakeholder analysis, and gap analysis.
The Tools and Technology series is every 2 months, co-hosted by several IIBA chapters, along with Washington DC Metro.

You'll learn how to:

  • Identify overlooked risks in day-to-day business operations
  • Recognize how poor access control, data flows, and hand-offs become attack vectors
  • Ask the right questions to expose security blind spots early
  • Collaborate more effectively with security teams
  • Add strategic value by preventing security issues before they cost time, money, and reputation

Speaker: Victor Asanmi
Victor is a London-based Business Security Specialist with a background in cybersecurity, business analysis and project management. He’s currently pursuing a master’s degree in Cybersecurity with a focus on Identity and Access Management and Post-Quantum Computing. With over 8 years of experience in risk management, cyber project delivery, and business process optimization, Victor brings a unique perspective to bridging cybersecurity with business strategy. He is the founder of Inyotta Analytica, a boutique firm that combines business analysis and cybersecurity to help organizations build secure and scalable systems.
