Translating WordPress to African Languages

**A guide to using translate.wordpress.org**

In this month's meetup, we will be discussing WordPress Translations.
WordPress is fully translated into over 65 languages, we are working towards getting WordPress translated into our common Nigerian Pidgin English.

The project has started, but more hands are needed to get it completed.

The following points will be discussed:

• Contributing to WordPress Translations
• Contributing to the WordPress in Pidgin project (as the case study)
• Translating other plugins and themes to Pidgin.

What's needed for this meetup (or to contribute)?

• Basic knowledge of English
• Basic knowledge of Nigerian Pidgin or any other African language (For anyone interested in contributing to the project)
• A WordPress.org profile: If you do not already have one, please sign up on WordPress.org
• Read through the WordPress Translator Handbook
