St. Pat's Open Weekend at Harwood Lodge

MAR 14-15, 2026. SAT-SUN, HARWOOD LODGE, Open Weekend: ’Tis a head start on St. Patrick’s Day ye seek? Come to Harwood Lodge, high in the Irish Hills above Claremont, which the Wee Folk just might magically transform to “Castle O’Harwood.” Open to Sierra Club members and spouses ($20), two guests per member ($25), and wee ones under 12 ($10). Sign up by March 6 at Harwood Lodge’s website, https://angeles.sierraclub.org/harwood_lodge. Click “When Can I Stay at the Lodge?” for calendar; click on March 14. Enjoy hikes, snow (maybe), clean air, blue skies, whispering pines, Irish jigs, and gathering ’round the fireplace. Share your own Irish meals at potlucks (’tis up to you), bring your musical instruments and song sheets, and bring the Spirit (but not spirits) of the Old Country with ye. Please note, Harwood Lodge is volunteer-run; everyone pitches in to keep the Lodge spic and span, especially washing and putting away everything in the kitchen during popular events. Due to the high altitude—6,000 feet—drink responsibly, limited to BYOB wine and beer.
