I'll Say She Is presents: Living It Up (1954)

LIVING IT UP deliriously reworks the screwball classic NOTHING SACRED for the atomic age. Jerry plays a terminally ill young man turned overnight celebrity after exposure to radiation at the Los Alamos test site. Dean stretches his comic chops as his charmingly incompetent doctor, while the incomparable Janet Leigh joins the mayhem as the scrappy newspaper reporter who whisks them away on an all-expenses-paid trip to New York. Naturally (this is a Martin and Lewis film, after all!) an uneasy bisexual love triangle ensues. When the pair learn that Jerry is not, in fact, dying, they're cast as co-conspirators dead-set on maintaining their newfound life of luxury (and opportunity to woo the lovely Janet) at any cost!

I'll Say She Is presents: You're Never Too Young (1955)

YOU'RE NEVER TOO YOUNG is a grotesquely hysterical exercise in age regression (a remake of Billy Wilder's equally jaw-dropping THE MAJOR AND THE MINOR). Jerry plays an apprentice barber on the run from the mob after mistakenly after finding himself in possession of a stolen diamond (I know, but trust me it gets crazier). Naturally, the only solution is to assume the identity of an eleven-year-old schoolboy - sailor suit, swirly lollipop and all. His disguise soon attracts the affection of a beautiful teacher (poor Diana Lynn going through a crisis of DEATH IN VENICE proportions). Jerry grows determined to maintain the masquerade as long as he can... that is, until her exasperated boyfriend (our dear Dino) arrives on the scene and proceeds to increasingly cartoonish comic lengths to expose his secret.
