What we’re about
Thank you for interest in joining Eat Drink & Be Merry (ED&BM) whose members are fun-loving adults (age 50 and beyond) interested in meeting new friends and doing what we do best -- eating, drinking, and talking (a variety of conversations at a variety of restaurant). We focus on supporting local business owners.
At this time, as a group, we do not return to a restaurant we've already enjoyed since new restaurants open almost every year and established restaurants are discovered in Peoria and surrounding towns.
Please note, membership dues each year are $20 to help offset the cost of this group. since the Meetup organization charges for groups. It is greatly appreciated when members volunteer to host events though it isn't a requirement. Those who choose to host events will receive a 50% discount their membership dues the following year. I will work with those who want to host events.
Regards,
Sheila B

Slow Hand proudly serves up slow-smoked Midwestern BBQ, paired with housemade sides & desserts in our from-scratch kitchen, with ingredients that are almost entirely locally sourced.
Our full bar features great domestic & craft beers, an impressive wine list, carefully crafted cocktails & adult slushies. The bar menu is infused with seasonal ingredients that complement the high-quality smoked meats, homemade side dishes & sultry desserts.
We are fortunate to have partnered with some amazing local farms to bring you the best product you can find anywhere. Our partners include Spence Farms and Kilgus Farmstead of Fairbury, Illinois, and many other local providers and producers.
