What we’re about
We are a community that seeks to deepen their understanding of PostgreSQL, The World's Most Advanced Open Source Database.
We explore ways to extend Postgres, build applications atop it, interface it to other databases, and tune it for maximum value. Please join us and discuss your Postgres experiences, share the tips and tricks you've learned using it, and learn from your peers.
Our group has adopted the PostgreSQL Code of Conduct (https://www.postgresql.org/about/policies/coc/)

Dear Illinois Prairie PUG members,
Our next meetup is scheduled for May 20, and one more time, we are doing something new.
We invite Application developers to a conversation with Postgres DBAs, Database Architects, and Database developers. We want to hear about your challenges using Postgres as your application backend and your ideas about how to improve this interaction. To help us plan the details in advance, please fill out this Google Form. You can still attend the meetup even if you won't answer the questions, but filling out this form will help ensure a smoother event run.
We will start our summit by finalizing the list of discussion topics, and then we will break into discussion groups for about 45 minutes. Then we will have a short break and will listen to the short (5-10 min) discussion summary or presentation from each group. I hope that we will be able to learn something new together!
Event location: DRW Training Center, 540 W. Madison, 25th floor.
A reminder about our venue:
- This is a high-security building, which means the names of all participants should be communicated no later than 7:30 AM on the day of the event, and all participants must present a government-issued ID to be admitted. If your meetup profile does not list your full name, please send a DM with the required information to me (Hettie). Registration for all in-person events will be closed by 7-30 AM the day of the event.
- The food order will be placed a day before the event, so I strongly encourage everybody planning to attend to RSVP at least a day before. Please RSVP to this event only if you are attending in person.
Hope to see you there!
