Developers Summit - zoom version!

Details
Dear Prairie PUG Members! On May 20, we will host a Developers' Summit, which will include several group discussions. Unfortunately, I do not have the technical capacity to add Zoom breakout rooms to the in-person breakouts (we will be physically in one room, just in different corners of it). I will still keep Zoom on so that you can at least listen to the opening announcements, our future plans, and discussion summaries, but most likely, you won't be able to hear group discussions (about 35 minutes in the middle).
In-person event details: here.
On April 24, we will have a Q&A session with Jay Miller, the founder of Black Python Devs. This event is a part of the Prairie Postgres NFP effort to bridge the gap between Postgres and those who are using it. The Q&A session will start at 5 PM and will run for approximately one hour, with refreshments provided after the session.
For those coming from the Chicago PostgreSQL User group, please note that this is a one-off event. The event start and end times are earlier than usual due to limited venue availability and conflicts with other events scheduled for the same day. We will resume our regular hours (5:30 PM - 8:00 PM) in May.
About our guest.
Jay Miller is a Staff Developer Advocate at Aiven. Jay is also the founder of Black Python Devs where they work to extend the reach of Python communities, projects, and organizations to Black developers around the globe. When away from the keyboard they can often be found cheering on their favorite baseball team.
Jay is one of the speakers at PG Day Chicago 2025 on April 25. If you have not registered to attend this event, please consider doing so!
Hope to see you at this and other Postgres events happening on April 24-25!
Hettie Dombrovskaya
Illinois Prairie PostgreSQL User Group Organizer
