Ciao and welcome to Salotto Italiano!
I am Elena, an Italian language teacher from Bologna living in London.
I created this group for those who love the Italian language and culture and want to practice and improve their Italian in a relaxed and friendly environment.
Salotto Italiano is a place where you can chat in Italian, meet new people, and immerse yourself in Italian culture. I organise free Zoom meetings, such as morning coffee and chat sessions, as well as in-person and online paid classes and events.
Whatever your level, the important is to participate, practice, and have fun!
Italians who wish to speak our native language, share our culture, and meet new people (excluding Italian language teachers or event organisers without my approval) are welcome to join.
About me: I hold the TIAFL certification (Teaching Italian as a Foreign Language) from the Italian Cultural Institute of London, with an A (Excellent) grade. I currently run the Online Italian Book Club at Italian Language Services (formerly part of the Italian Cultural Institute) and am one of their associate teachers for language courses.
