Gyeongpoho, which means “clear as a mirror” is an awesome cherry blossom spot on the East Coast that blends well with the refreshing East Coast.
The cherry blossom trail around Lake Gyeongpoho is a great way to relax and unwind. Gyeongpo Beach is a beautiful beach that has a length of 6km, and is surrounded by fine sand. It is well-known for the way it harmonizes both nature and cultural relics.
There are other attractions nearby the area, such as the pine forest and wild roses, that grow in various areas around the beach. It’s possible to rent a bike and ride around Lake Gyeongpo while enjoying the cherry blossoms.
Don’t forget about Anmok beach, a stunning beach with some of the best water in the country. The sea is a vivid blue that you could gaze at all day long.
Spending some time at Anmok Beach with its seaside cafés will be a delightful experience. It feels like a more contemporary version of the typical Korean beach experience.
Over 30 cafés are located on Gangeung Coffee Street, and they offer panoramic views of the East Sea through floor to ceiling windows. This 500-meter stretch of coffee-infused beachfront is recommended by the KTO as one of the ‘Top 10 Must-Visit Tourist Spots’ in Korea, and it’s definitely worth a visit.

Itinerary
7.00am: Depart from exit 3, Hongik Univ station.
7.25am: Exit 1, Samgakji station ( Line 4 & 6)
7.35am: Exit 8, Express Bus terminal station ( Line 3, 7 and 9)
7.50am: Exit 1, Dongcheon station( Shin Bundang Line)
8.15am: Exit 1, Yeongtong station
10.40am-11.00AM: Arriving at Gyeongo Lake cherry blossom festival place
Lunch on your own (There are some restaurants in the area. You can bring lunch and snacks etc. Lunch not included.
4.30pm: Depart for home
7.20-30pm: Drop off at Yeongtong stationthe bus in Yeongtong station
8.20pm: Drop off in Seoul (Express bus terminal station, Samgakji station and Hongik univ station)
What to bring: water bottles, camera, snacks, money for food and drink etc
