We want to build a community of people who strive for a sustainable world, based on international human rights standards, and we reject all forms of discrimination. We welcome all people interested in taking action towards fighting Climate Change. Whether you're an environmental enthusiast, an advocate for equal human rights, or simply curious about the social implications of our climate transition, you'll find a welcoming community eager to connect and collaborate. See all- Climate Justice Awareness Walk/HikeMeeting point, Stockholm
Hello everybody,
We hope this message finds you all well!
We are excited to invite you to join us for a leisurely spring walk around Brunnsviken Lake! We will meet at Tekniska Högskolan/Östra Station, right next to the Swedish Environmental Research Institute (Svenska Miljöinstitutet) building, from where we will begin our walk. Please arrive on time, as staying in touch effectively via this app may be challenging.
This event is designed to create a welcoming space for participants to meet and connect with one another, while sharing our insights and views on important topics related to climate justice and sustainable living. We will have the chance to engage in meaningful discussions, all set against the stunning backdrop of Stockholm's beautiful views and nature.
This is an intermediate level hike. The full hike loop spans about 12 km in total. However, there will be multiple points along the route where you can exit the trail and easily access public transport options, ensuring that you have flexibility during the hike.
* We kindly ask that you dress appropriately for the weather on the day of the walk. Comfortable hiking shoes are highly recommended, as certain parts of the trail may require better traction for a safe and enjoyable experience.
* Please remember to bring enough water to stay hydrated, as well as some delicious snacks for a delightful 'fika' break during our rest periods.
* We warmly welcome children aged 12 and older to join us for the event, but please ensure that they are accompanied by an adult throughout the duration of the walk.
* Dogs are also invited to participate! However, for everyone's safety and comfort, please keep them at the back of the group and ensure they are on a leash at all times. Please keep in mind that each participant is responsible for their own safety throughout the event. This includes being mindful of your surroundings, following any safety guidelines provided, and making decisions that ensure your well-being.
Note: Be aware that the event may be rescheduled if there are forecasts of heavy rain or strong winds on the day. We recommend checking for any updates prior to the event and kindly ask that you keep your RSVP updated.
We look forward to walking alongside you!
Warm regards,
IM Climate Justice Team
