Hackers on the Train → Bendigo MakeLab
Details
We're taking the train to the inaugural Bendigo MakeLab community meetup — a new community technology workshop getting started in Bendigo, partly modelled on the Ballarat Hackerspace.
The train is the venue: two hours up, two hours back, laptops open. Bring a project, pair on someone else's, or just come for the conversation. Meet 09:45 at the V/Line country platforms (we board together — seating is unreserved). We depart Southern Cross at 10:02, arrive Bendigo 11:58, grab lunch, drop into the MakeLab meetup from 1–4pm (Repair Cafe / Share & Repair Shed space), and catch the 16:28 home, arriving back at 18:29.
Heads up: we've had mixed results with connectivity on this line — be prepared for intermittent (or no) internet, and bring work that survives offline.
Bring: laptop, charged battery, offline-friendly work, snacks. Train fare ~$11 each way with myki.
