For nearly 20 years, Jim Williams has been making audiences laugh across Europe. Now he returns to Warsaw with Ameri-Pean, a sharp and brilliantly unpredictable hour of stand-up about life between cultures.
After moving to Poland in 2007, Jim’s life quickly turned into a masterclass in culture shock, confusion, and comedy. From arriving with a six-month-pregnant wife, to appearing on Mam Talent, to almost dying in the Polish mountains, to getting divorced during the pandemic, gaining Polish citizenship, and somehow becoming… Ameri-Pean.
The result is smart observational comedy with a touch of personal chaos — a funny and honest look at what it means to try to belong somewhere new.
Jim has performed for two decades in theatres, clubs, festivals, and television across Europe. He has appeared on Comedy Central Polska, reached the semi-finals of Mam Talent, and helped build the English-language comedy scene in Poland.
Expect sharp storytelling, cultural absurdity, and the kind of comedy that comes from living in the middle of two worlds.
