At Logikk we feel passionate about mental health, putting the well-being of our employees before profit, with a 4-day work week and a monthly well-being allowance. We want to explore how Artificial Intelligence is contributing to the developments being made in how we nurture, protect and treat our mental health.
In line with Mental Health Awareness Week, our first event since the pandemic will focus on Mental Health within AI; speakers will present recent advancements, insights and products paving the way in this space, hoping to raise awareness and encourage open and empathetic environments.
Join us for an evening exploring innovative research & advancements; networking with other AI-minded folk and of course a bite to eat 🌯
Co-hosts: Jordan O’Neill and Becky Gorringe.
Speakers:
🎤 Arijit Patra - Senior Principal Scientist at UCB - PhD in Machine Learning for healthcare imaging, University of Oxford.
The Potential of Generative AI for Mental Healthcare
The advancements in artificial intelligence in the last decade has seen an increasing integration of predictive algorithms in various applications. While there have been software interfaces that have enabled mental health support, the substantial progress of generative machine learning over multimodal data streams provides a new dimension to the conversation around how tech-enabled protocols may impact both individual and population level mental healthcare. Such impacts are likely to be a result of an interplay of several complex factors, but will very certainly absorb the current pace of development of AI systems that leverage training over large datasets to effectively interact with users.
🎤 Mandana Ahmadi - CEO & Co-founder of Alena
Machines' Understanding of the Human Mind: from Lab to Mental Health
In this talk, Dr Mandana Ahmadi will cover a short history of how artificial intelligence and machine learning were born out of our desire to understand the human mind; and in return how that understanding is giving rise to the next generation of fully automated mental health systems.
🎤 Dr Daniel Leightley - Research Fellow at the King's Centre for Military Health Research
The use of AI in military mental health research
This talk, Dr Daniel Leightley will explore AI's role and use in UK military mental health research.
We look forward to seeing you!
