*About Andriana: Andriana is a performance artist & entrepreneur who focuses on planting seeds of joy and empowerment throughout the world with a focus on laughter wellness and compassionate expression. She is the founder of the CALM method (Communication And Laughter Method) & The Laughter Agency. LaughterAgency.com
Andriana has been practicing improv since 2011. She began to teach & coach in 2013 at La Luz Studios, her co-founded performance arts space in Bushwick, Brooklyn, where monthly she'd host a variety show staring the studios many improv comedy teams. She currently leads an international education and mentorship program that focuses on lessons in compassionate communication and laughter wellness as well as providing housing, food, and medical for female south sudanese refugees in Uganda. Andriana currently leads those on the autism spectrum in Laughter Wellness and Communication techniques. She also shares weekly classes (Weds 6:30pm @ Studio 67 in Medford NJ) & workshops throughout NJ and online and performs her music as herself and throughout space and time as 'BirDolphin'. What Time is It? It's time to LAUGH! YOU are officially invited to The "I LOVE Improv Comedy!" Jam + Costume Party. Get ready for an afternoon of laughter, costumes, and community!
Kick things off with a hilarious Costume Runway Walk, jump into improv warm-ups and short-form games (no experience needed!), cheer on student showcases, and wrap it all up with a dance party, photos, and snacks.
* Warm-Ups
We’ll get everyone moving with silly, playful warm-ups (yes, the audience joins in). The perfect way to shake off the week and get into a “yes-and” groove.
* Costume Introduction Runway Walk
Step into the spotlight with your costume monologue! Whether you show up as a banana, superhero, ghostbuster, grandma with rollers, or something we’ve never seen before, strut your stuff. Everyone gets their moment, and laughter is guaranteed.
* Improv Jam
It’s short-form improv time! Games will be announced, and when inspiration strikes, you can jump up and play. No experience required, just bring your imagination. Expect surprise student showcases from Andriana’s Wednesday Weekly Improv Class, known for turning silliness into magic and building imaginary worlds together.
* Dance Break + Photos + Snacks
We’ll wrap up with a joyful dance party, group photos, and some light snacks and beverages to keep the fun rolling.## Community Notes
- All ages welcome. We keep our shows fun, silly, and free of sex, drugs, violence, and politics.
- Accessibility: The venue is wheelchair accessible, with plenty of seating.
- Scents: Please use no or minimal fragrance, we have guests with chemical sensitivities.
- Health: If you’re not feeling well, please stay home and join us for a future show.
- Space: The church is a gorgeous, wide-open space with high ceilings, a safe and airy gathering spot, especially during flu season.
