The Emerging Plays | Improvised Theater

The Improv Community of Eindhoven presents a night of two improvised theater plays.

The Emerging Plays are entirely unscripted 45-minute theater pieces which explore the authentic and emotional side of improvising. Rather than comedic improv, where performers rely on laughs or quick wit, this play and its actors will focus on truthful, grounded performances. The plays will deal with emotional honesty, character relationships, rich narratives and real human connection.

There will be 2 plays, each about 45 minutes long and each with 5-6 actors. The story will be inspired by audience suggestions and then will take place on a single set without any scene breaks. Please note that the plays are showcases: they are performed by workshop participants who have been learning the skills of the Emerging Play over the previous couple days.

The showcase takes place at CKE Theaterzaal (Pastoor Petersstraat 180, 5612 LW Eindhoven) on Saturday 10 May from 20:00-22:00. It is part of the CKE Bruisweekend and is free for anyone who wants to join.
